186 Architecture

The classic 186 microcontroller family ranges from the standard 80C186/188 or Am186/Am188 to the Intel types 80C186EA, -EB and -EC up to the newer optimized members from AMD which run at processor speeds up to 25MHz. They are the Am186EM, -ES, -ED and -ER including the Am188 versions respectively. Later derivatives such as the communication controllers Am186CC, CU and CH are also supported.

386 Architecture

The 386 family of microprocessors ranges from the standard CPU cores 386DX and 386SX to the embedded microcontroller 386EX. Since 386DX and 386SX have disappeared from the embedded market, the 386EX still is in use. For the 386EX Hitex offers a full featured debug solution.
