The motor controller module is designed to drive 12V DC brushed motors of up to 2A.
However, 3A can be used by means of the auxiliary power conector.

Features Of Brushed Motor Controller Module:

• Up to two motor control modules may be fitted to a single baseboard
• Optimized for PWM motor drive
• Based on the LM18200 DMOS H-bridge controller
• Current monitoring is possible via the ADC of a processor module
• Quadrature encoder/Hall sensor input
• Tachogenerator input
• Open/closed limit switch inputs
• Protected by an over-temperature output which allows the drive to be deactivated under software control

Hardware Functional Notice

If a motor of above 2A current rating is used, the auxiliary high current connector P301 must be used to supply 12V and Ground. Otherwise the current rating of the module connectors will be exceeded.
