Project management

All information about the debug session is collected in projects. A project holds information about the test system used, the connection type of the test system, the application to be tested, the necessary test system settings, etc.

Drag&drop

Drag&drop has become an essential feature for people working with Windows based systems. Throughout HiTOP drag&drop can be used for quick and efficient selections and entries. You can for example drag a program symbol from the workspace window to the memory window for the display of the associated memory region. Another example would be, dragging a variable from the source window to the watch window to monitor the contents of that variable in the watch window.

Automatic display of locals

The local variables of a function are automatically displayed in the "Locals" tab of the Watch window as soon as the function is entered during debugging.

Customizable windows

All HiTOP windows can be customized to your needs. This is especially handy for the windows displaying information in columns. Rearranging and selecting / deselecting of columns can easily be done. Also the colors, the fonts, etc. of the windows are user-definable. In addition you can define your own windows, e.g. to display information from yor system in a suitable way.

Execute Script toolbar

By activating the "Execute Script" toolbar, you can easily execute HiSCRIPT files and even assign HiSCRIPT files to toolbar buttons. A tool tip shows the HiSCRIPT file currently assigned to a button. The label of the button is also user definable. The pull down menu of the Execute Script toolbar gives access to the latest HiSRIPT files executed.
