Hitex announces support for Infineon multi-core AURIX microcontrollers

While other tool vendors announce their first support for the new Infineon multi-core AURIX microcontrollers, Hitex can reveal that we have already supported them for over a year!

Originally developed and tested using the Hitex Meridian Development board, and long before any real silicon existed, the Hitex HiTOP debugger has been facilitating multi-core software development for many new safety-related applications, including those in the automotive industry and up to ASIL-D.

HiTOP supports all variants of the now-released AURIX device family and at no extra cost compared to the standard TriCore version.  HiTOP for AURIX runs as multiple instances on a single PC – one instance per core – to allow separate debugging of the cores with no interference.  It also supports the up-coming release 4.0 of Infineon’s Device Access Server (DAS) for the whole range of microcontrollers.

Hitex’s experience of the AURIX goes back more than a year, putting us at the forefront of hardware and software development for the new family.  Furthermore, we have also developed an ECU Prototyping platform, called Oikos, to allow selected customers to evaluate both hardware and software.  More details are on www.oikosecu.com or please contact us.
