The TQMP1020 embedded module is the next generation of the TQM85xx PowerQUICC III module family,  featuring the  Freescale QorIQ™ P1  processor . The dual e500 cores and a clock speed of 800 MHz  enable this module to set new standards for performance and power dissipation. The 45nm process technology ensures that power consumption is markedly lower than in previous PowerQUICC III modules. The extended temperature range and small size ( measuring only 54m x 74 mm) mean that the TQMP1020 QoriQ module is ideal for use in compact, fanless systems.

The TQMP1020 minimodule is ideally suited to industrial applications where long-term availability, extended temperature and small size are important. The module includes IEEE1588 support for nanosecond time-synchronization, 3 x Gigabit Ethernet, while the memory footprint includes DDR3 SDRAM for maximum density . The use of ECC for the main memory, and NOR flash for the boot code provide additional security.

The 360-pin high-density connectors support data transfer rates of up to 5Gbit/sec,  which paves the way for USB 3.0 and PCIe 2.0 interfaces in the future.

The module operates from a single supply, with on-board DC-DC converters which guarantee safe system boot-up.
