JTAG Debug Tools for Infineon XC166
TantinoXC
With the TantinoXC debug tool, Hitex is presenting a high-performance OCDS Level 1 JTAG debug solution for the XC166, XE166 and XC2000 families from Infineon Technologies. TantinoXC is USB-powered and supports all OCDS features. In addition, special features, such as support of interrupts during halted emulation, facilitate the debugging work. Through automatic target voltage adjustment, safe operation is guaranteed between 1.8 and 5 V. Internal and external Flash modules are programmable with TantinoXC. Optional features allow for sophisticated error analysis:
- Time Analyzer: Based on a user-controlled port pin, the Tantino records time information and calculates min/max/av execution times which are displayed in HiTOP as table or histogram.
- Trace: Similar to the Time Analyzer, code instrumentation will generate trace frames to record interesting spots into the trace buffer of the TantinoXC. Trace frames and timestamps are matched in the TantinoXC hardware to reconstruct program and/or data flow. Instrumentation can be performed manually and/or automatically by Tasking compilers.

- Performance Analysis: Profile measurements (occurance, minimum, maximum and average execution times) for a selected number of events and tasks are also possible.

The most powerful tool for the XC166 based controllers is available with our DProbeXC, which is equipped with a dedicated emulation device and thus allows for full real-time trace based on powerful triggers.
