TESSY training, workshops and consulting

Hitex (UK) Ltd are now able to offer TESSY training for up to 10 participants at a time, either on-site or in our bespoke training facilities at the Coventry office. 

The modules outlined below offer a starting point from which we can customise your day to your exact requirements if required. Equally, the training can be extended to go beyond the level of detail that can be covered in a 1-2 day session.

The venue and exact contents will be agreed before a contract is put in place, but it is expected that they will be run at the customer’s site in most cases (where appropriate). 

It is also worth noting that the days can be delivered in either English or German, and will again be agreed at the time of booking.

The prices do not include expenses such as travel and accommodation.

What will be covered?

1-day TESSY training and workshop for up to 5 or 10 participants

  • How to use TESSY
  • Project configuration - basic features of TESSY (e.g. creating and executing test cases; generating and analysing the test result report, etc)
  • Full seminar documentation – both printed and electronic form
  • Practical workshop elements – practical hands-on exercises working with TESSY.
    NB: This will require the customer to provide PCs with TESSY installed and licensed (evaluation license is sufficient).

Location requirements: Appropriate room, PCs where required, plus lunch etc
Delegate Prerequisites: Familiarity with the C programming language

2-day TESSY training and workshop for up to 5 or 10 participants 

  • How to use TESSY
  • Project configuration – basic features of TESSY (e.g. creating and executing test cases; generating and analysing the test result report, etc)

  • Practical workshop elements – practical hands-on exercises working with TESSY.

  • Advanced features of TESSY
  • Classification Tree Editor (CTE) – includes an introduction to the test case specification according to the Classification Tree Method and working with CTE during practical exercises where appropriate

1-day TESSY consulting for up to 2 participants

This day with enable delegates to become experts in administrating and using TESSY beyond standard training. Topics can include (but are not restricted to): 

  • Administration 
    • Installation and set up – including both TESSY & CTE 
    • Licensing 
    • Adapting TESSY – to compiler, debugger and microcontroller hardware 
    • Test Environment Editor (TEE) – an in-depth introduction including handling of configurations
    • Test directory structure – best practice for layout 
    • Connecting to a version control system 
    • Saving TESSY projects 
    • Self-help for problems (logging) 
    • Using the documentation provided – where to find information
    • Support requests
  • Usage 
    • Creating test templates (one test case per test object) – usually for test objects from the customer’s application which are difficult to test. This can be the emphasis of the consultation.

NEW: Webinar-based get you started service for first-time TESSY users

This service can only be ordered once with a new licence to get the new user up and running. Once this has been completed, then the sessions outlined above will be the next appropriate steps if required.
